Synopsis
A new school year has begun at Ayanagi Academy for Yuuta Hoshitani and the members of Team Ootori. As the school's annual graduation performance titled "Shadow and Lights" quickly approaches, the second-years in the Musical Department must participate in the production as part of their curriculum. Out of the 25 students in the division, five of them will receive a training role and actively participate as actors in the program alongside the graduating class. Attaining one of these coveted spots will not only increase a student's academic standing within the department, but it will also put them in the running for a position on the elite Kao Council. While every student in the department strives to obtain one of the five training roles, Team Yuzuriha's Riku Ageha is practically a front-runner for the role of Alexis' Shadow. Having idolized an Ayanagi alumnus' performance of Alexis, Ageha has spent a majority of his life perfecting the portrayal in hopes of being selected for the show. In contrast, Hoshitani's lack of experience in show business puts him at a great disadvantage for any of the roles in the production. With specialized training from the "Ancients"—former Kao Council members and Ayanagi alumni—the second-years give it their all as they aim for the stars and beyond.

It was really sad seeing Hoshitani's shoulder get injured like that. Honestly, things could've turned out so much worse if Ageha hadn't gotten rid of the nails in time. Even with everything that happened, I'm just happy Hoshitani still got the chance to perform alongside Otori in the end. Great way to wrap up the season!
Everyone did such an amazing job during the play! But seriously the timing of that piece of wood falling couldn't have been any worse. I hope Hoshitani is okay and he can still go on with the show :(
Kuga and Ren were really giving off couple vibes this episode with the way their interaction is lol. The onigiri lunch box scene was so cute too. It was also really heartwarming to see everyone come together because they were genuinely worried about Hoshitani
So nice to see Hoshitani and Ageha getting closer and having more interactions between them. I couldn't help but feel bad for Nayuki, he must've felt so left out, but I hope he can shine too with his own talent, him and Ugawa.
Ageha's situation is honestly really understandable. Hearing those words from someone you've looked up to for so long would definitely hurt. I'm glad he slowly found the courage to want to stand on stage as himself instead of trying to be someone else. Kudos to Hoshitani he just has a way of lifting people up when they need it most.
I've been waiting for Hoshitani to find out Otori was the highschooler he admired. This episode is funny poor Nayuki with all the misunderstanding lol Also love to see that Kuga and the other two getting closer despite being rivals
Haruto is finally back in Japan I'm happy he will be joining them on the training camp. I always love training camp episode, they're usually packed with fun interactions and little wholesome moments between everyone. The map/poster was so cutely drawn lol I wonder who did that
Kuga is getting pretty serious, he was so cool in that scene. The team feels a lot more tense than before, hopefully they can find their rhythm again soon
Oh wow Tengenji is definitely the highlight for this episode for me, his acting is amazing! He really didn't have much freedom growing up, but you can tell he genuinely loves what he does
Love how Hoshitani never lets setbacks get to him, his energy is conragiouss. Love to see some lighter moments too this episode
The opening performance is beautiful, and Riku's singing sounds a lot like Haruto's? Loving all the musical performances so far
I loved season 1 so I'm pretty excited for this one, so far it's looking good! Can't wait to see the drama this season brings lol
I feel bad for Hoshitani. His shoulder has been badly injured. Ageha subbed him out, but I'm glad he continued the play with Otori. I got teary-eyed with their performance. I really love the songs for Lambert and Alexiss. And that ending song with all the cast is a good ending.
Hoshitani's acting has improved so much. Though, during the play itself, I must say their clothes don't really give much impression. Their clothes are too monochrome for me. And I don't really appreciate the play. But the songs give me goosebumps; they touch my heart and soul.
Hoshitani really gets a part in this theater show. His progress is a little unrealistic, but his miraculous Hoshitani title kinda explains it. But despite finally realizing his dream to be on stage with his idol, he can't find himself worthy because Hiragi is irreplaceable.
I totally misunderstood Nayuki here. I thought he felt neglected because Hoshitani began spending more time with Ageha. Or did the author send me the wrong signal? Nayuki felt lonely despite being in a romantic relationship. And when the tables turned, Hoshitani felt dumped. Lol
