📖 SYNOPSIS
Known throughout the demon realm as the King Slayer, Ell is a dragon so fearsome that his reputation precedes him everywhere. His one dream? Finding a hero strong enough to give him an honorable death so he can finally retire in peace. Problem is, the first hero who shows up dies in a single hit. Whoops. The only survivor of that hero's party is Lafi, a pregnant human magician who's way too clever for her own good. Through a chain of circumstances, Ell ends up agreeing to raise Lafi's son Dino — partly out of guilt, partly because he figures if he raises the kid right, Dino might one day become the warrior who can actually take him down. So now you've got an overpowered dragon playing dad alongside a scheming magician, and neither of them really knows what they're doing. This 12-episode ONA from 2025 leans hard into the comedy of that setup — diaper changes meet demon politics, bedtime stories meet battle strategy. The fantasy world is there, but the heart of it is just two wildly mismatched people trying to figure out how to raise a kid without breaking him (or each other). If you liked the found-family energy of Kobayashi's Dragon Maid or the demon-raises-a-baby chaos of Beelzebub, this hits a similar sweet spot. It also carries some of that gentle warmth you get from If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord, just with more teeth and scales. Based on a web manga, so the tone stays light and the episodes go down easy.
