Synopsis
Devoted wife Ayahi Toudou is stuck in an impossible situation — her husband is bedridden with illness, their family doctor makes regular house calls, and somewhere along the way, she starts feeling things she absolutely should not be feeling toward that doctor. That tension is the entire engine of this two-episode OVA from Y.O.U.C, adapted from a visual novel and released in 2011. The setup is quieter and more grounded than you'd expect from the genre. There's a real domestic atmosphere here — a sick husband upstairs, a daughter in the next room, and a woman trying to hold everything together while her own needs quietly unravel. It leans into psychological discomfort rather than rushing past it, which gives the story more weight than your average hentai release. The character designs are expressive, and the animation does a decent job conveying Ayahi's internal conflict rather than just the surface-level stuff. If you've watched something like Sakusei Byoutou The Animation or Chijoku Shinsatsushitsu and appreciated when these productions actually try to build atmosphere before diving in, this scratches a similar itch. In no Houteishiki fans might also find the domestic tension familiar. It's short, it's character-focused, and it takes its premise seriously enough to make the emotional stakes feel real. Not a groundbreaking work, but for what it is, it earns the drama it sets up.
