In his thirties and consumed by his career, Youichi Shiraishi is someone who has let his personal life basically flatline. Then two of his students change that — quietly, and in ways that get complicated fast. This two-episode OVA follows Youichi through separate encounters: first with Sae, a reserved honor student who shows up at his door wanting to cook for him after confessing her feelings, and then with Asami, a photography student whose relationship with him digs into questions of acceptance and what people are actually looking for in each other. The tone is slower and more introspective than you might expect — less about shock value, more about the emotional weight of relationships that exist in spaces they probably shouldn't. It leans into character interiority and the specific awkwardness of two people navigating feelings neither of them fully planned for. If you came to something like Dear Brother for the emotionally intense, boundary-pushing dynamics between characters, there's a similar pull here.
