Synopsis
Bound by an ancient curse that ensures his family almost never produces males — with only daughters following, generation after generation — Naoto Rindo has one loophole: a Rindo man must conceive a child with someone from the Hizuki family, temporarily breaking the cycle. His fiancée, Suzune, was supposed to be that person. Then she died in an accident, and now Naoto is left in a secluded, tradition-bound village with four remaining Hizuki sisters and an obligation he can't walk away from. That's a heavy setup, and the OVA actually leans into it — duty, grief, and the suffocating weight of a curse that predates everyone involved. It's not just window dressing. The supernatural element gives the whole thing a genuinely uneasy atmosphere, like the village itself has expectations of him. If you've watched something like Bible Black or Discipline and wanted more of a story grounding the drama, this scratches that itch. The two-episode format keeps it tight — no padding, no meandering. Fans of Discipline who appreciated when the narrative actually tried to hold together will find familiar ground here. The animation from Kami Kukan holds up well enough to carry the emotional weight the story is reaching for. It's an adult OVA adapted from a visual novel, so you know what you're walking into, but the ancestral curse framing gives it more texture than most entries in the genre.
