Don't let the upscale reputation fool you — the perfect beauty salon is actually anything but, and that's the setup at the center of this story. Young women are drawn in by the salon's upscale reputation, but the manager and his assistant aren't exactly interested in giving honest haircuts. What starts as ordinary appointments slowly shifts into something far more sinister, with the staff quietly maneuvering clients into compromising situations and filming everything without their knowledge. Characters like Mutsumi and Erika find themselves caught in this web before they even realize what's happening. The tone leans dark and manipulative rather than lighthearted, so if you're coming in expecting something breezy, this isn't that. It's a three-episode OVA from 2010, adapted from a visual novel by Office No. 8, and it leans into the psychological tension of its premise more than a lot of similar releases bother to. The blackmail angle gives it a suspense undercurrent that keeps the story moving between scenes. If you've watched Kansen: Inyoku no Rensa or Shirudaku Settai: Shiru Darake no Machi and liked how those handled darker, manipulation-heavy narratives, this fits comfortably in that same space. It's not trying to be subtle about what it is, but the plot framing gives it more structure than you might expect going in. Short runtime, straightforward premise, darker edge than average.
