Synopsis
Much like the other students at her school, first-year student Saki Aoi finds herself captivated by the beauty of her senior on the school board, Makoto Hanaoka. While she worries that Hanaoka would be uncomfortable receiving a confession from another girl, Aoi musters up the courage to tell her anyway. However, Hanaoka's response surprises Aoi for a completely different reason—Hanaoka is actually a cross-dressing boy! Fully expecting Aoi to be abhorred by this revelation, Hanaoka is shocked to find that she has no issues with it. Though Hanaoka rejects Aoi's request to go out with her—citing his identity and the fact that he has never fallen in love before—Aoi insists that she will become his first love. Taken aback by Aoi's determination, Hanaoka wonders if he can really fall in love with her if he cannot find it in him to truly love himself first.

Although throughout the middle of the whole series was confusing, slow and at times frustrating, the ending did it a well deserved justice. The messaged from his grandpa was really great. All in all, this series is good, but maybe not for the average people because the messages are sometimes way too blurry. And the characters are probably not too likeable. But they're what makes this series unique, they are all flawed humans and that is okay too.
Suddenly they introduced us to two new characters that they only shown us in one flashback walking by? Are we supposed to emotionally connect with the characters or what? It's already episode 11 but we are still not given any proper depth about Makoto and his mom, until the very end and now we're onto the last episode let's go!
I'm feeling more and more confused as the story goes on. Why can't the characters think by themselves? Suddenly Aoi is close with them again after literally 4 episodes of her being away, because we need her to make Makoto and Ryuuji confront their problems? I'm seriously only watching to see Aoi at this point.
Why does the plot just keeps getting downhill? The feelings that each of the character have feels so forced. There were probably just about 2 to 3 indications in the whole series about Makoto's feelings and the interactions he had with that character. But suddenly now he likes that character? When all along it just felt like friendship? I just want this to be over already
Somehow I feel weirdly conflicted with the direction this show is currently on. I'm happy for Ryuuji but I'm sure I can't say the same for Makoto. And I can honestly just say, they all kind of toxic for each other and to themselves. But I love the bond that Ryuuji and Aoi are creating. They feel like they're each others comfort people. The people you feel comfortable to confide with. But I'll continue watching for Aoi's character development!
Luckily their misunderstanding was resolved within the same episode. But are they really resolved? Somehow Makoto's feelings was never explained throughout the whole series yet. We had always only been given sights into Aoi's and Ryuuji's feelings. So Makoto's sudden decision makes me feels thrown off. I hope we get to understand more from Makoto soon.
I think I finally understood the hidden meaning behind Aoi san's feelings towards Makoto. It is great that she is finally seeing Makoto without any rose tinted glass. Maybe this is what she needed to do, to grow her feelings into something more genuine. And I literally screamed at that ending, such a cliffhanger!!!
There is a lot of things said in this episode but at the same time, they're not giving you any answers, everyone is still confused with their own feelings and that leads them to slowly drift apart. Maybe all this build up will be answered in the next episode. And hopefully they will dive deeper into Aoi's back story because I'm so curious!
A very deep but also confusing episode that revolves around Ryuuji and Aoi San's feelings towards Makoto. Maybe they will explain more in the next episode. But their study session and aquarium date was so cute and chaotic.
Such a great episode from start to finish. Seeing how Makoto comes to terms with his true self really made me emotional. Aoi San was endearing as always. I can't wait to watch the next episode, there is still a lot to unpack about Makoto's past!
