This is the first time we get to see a different side of Akane. The director produced a fair share to replicate the very humane thing about a relationship – that is, acceptance. Mr Kanai accepted Akane wholeheartedly, and that broke her shell. The narrative is really applaudable in this episode. Mugi’s role, on the other hand, seemed more biased here.
