📖 SYNOPSIS
"Sanctuary" follows two Japanese survivors of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Returning to Japan, they embark on divergent paths to achieve their shared goal of finding a sanctuary. One becomes a politician, navigating the complexities of the political landscape, while the other rises through the ranks of the Japanese gangster world.
Asami and Hojo, bound by their shared past and unwavering loyalty to their vow, are willing to do whatever it takes to climb the ladders of power in their respective fields. Their ambition and ruthlessness are matched only by their dedication to their own survival. However, their friendship is increasingly tested as they navigate the treacherous worlds of politics and crime, where loyalty is a rare commodity and betrayal lurks around every corner.
