If you’re into mahjong, this anime will probably be great for you. But if you know nothing about mahjong, like me, this first episode might be a little difficult to get into. Honestly, there wasn’t much to get excited about yet. Still, I’m willing to give it a chance. Hikaru no Go was also based on a traditional game, and that anime turned out to be amazing. Also, Saki even has a live-action adaptation, so there’s clearly an audience for this anime. Let’s see.
