Sakamoto Days Season 2

Once the most feared hitman in the underworld, Taro Sakamoto is now an overweight convenience store owner with a wife, a kid, and zero interest in going back to that life. The problem is, that life keeps showing up at his door. Season 2 picks up where things left off and dives into the JCC academy arc — that's the elite assassin school where Sakamoto trained back in the day. Old connections resurface, new threats emerge, and Sakamoto has to juggle protecting his family with dealing with people who really, really want him dead. His clairvoyant assistant Shin Asakura is still around, and members of the Order like Nagumo and Shishiba start playing bigger roles as the stakes ramp up. The thing that makes this show work is the balance. One moment you're watching a genuinely impressive fight sequence with fluid choreography and creative ability use, and the next you're laughing because this round dude just did something absurd in a grocery store. If you liked The Way of the Househusband's retired-criminal-doing-domestic-stuff energy but wanted actual high-quality action to go with it, this is your show. There's also some One Punch Man DNA here — an overpowered protagonist surrounded by chaos — except Sakamoto isn't bored, he's just trying to live a quiet life. The comedy hits, the fights hit harder, and the cast keeps getting more interesting.
