Sabikui Bisco
Oshimeter
Synopsis
An apocalyptic event has ravaged Japan, leaving nothing but endless sandy plains behind, and a strange rusting disease terrorizes the remnants of civilization. According to the government, the horrific state of the new world is the result of mushroom spores being spread by the likes of Bisco Akaboshi, labeled the "Man-Eating Mushroom." But Bisco would beg to differ. In reality, he is a "Mushroom Protector," determined to uncover the legendary "Sabikui" mushroom—said to be the ultimate cure for the rusting disease. Joining him on his quest are his giant crab Akutagawa and the kind doctor Milo Nekoyanagi, who is actively searching for a rust poisoning treatment for his sick sister. Despite the prejudice aimed toward him by the common folk, Bisco refuses to give up on his quest to purify the rotting world.

Milo and Bisco forever. Milo saying Pawoo will make a great wife even though Bisco came back for him is crazy. I'm glad Bisco and Milo will always be together.
Milo continues to fight on behalf of Bisco as well even to the point of sacrificing himself. Their relationship is so strong they defy life and death.
Bisco's will and spirit lives on with Milo. Milo even got Bisco's attitude as if they fused into one.
They exchanged vows. These gays are making me squeal. Bisco and Milo's relationship is the real story here.
Bisco reassuring Milo that it was going to be okay without using words but only eye contact just shows how deep and strong their relationship is. Milo really grew from a doctor and brother only to becoming a partner and important person to Bisco.
Both Milo and Bisco are willing to sacrifice themselves for the person important to them. They're so gay, I love them.
The BL vibe is getting stronger. Bisco touching and supporting Milo when he was aiming to shoot the engine in the Oilsquid's mouth, then Milo calming down and believing he can do it reminded me of the scene in Princess Diaries 2 with the bow.
How Milo asked for Bisco in exchange for curing the children gave off BL vibes. As for Pawoo, I can't say if she's dumb or not but she's for sure biased against the Mushroom Keepers.
Milo scolding Actagawa when he was going to treat its injury was cute. Bisco and Milo are becoming closer and Actagawa played a part in this as well, such development is quite heartwarming.
It's really hard to get someone to believe what you say when they have been exposed to a lie for so long. Bisco getting angry every time he tries to educate others regarding mushrooms is so valid.
Bisco's reaction to Jabi saying things about what to do when he dies is relatable. The older people who say that don't seem to care that we don't want them to die but live for as long as they can.
Another rewatch but this anime is just so underrated. The first episode is so confusing but most of the important characters are showed already.
A great episode and the perfect way to end Season 1. The whole squad teamed up to fight the monster and the action was fantastic. Despite the chaotic tone, the episode still had some light humor moments. Bisco and Pawoo would look great together :)
This episode was intense. The monster Tetsujin is incredibly strong and seems almost impossible to defeat. The action scenes were amazing throughout and the ending was shocking and completely unexpected.
After Kurokawa's death, the fight isn't over yet. Milo has to cope with Bisco's death while facing a new massive threat at the same time. Milo, Jabi, and Pawoo unite to battle against it. This episode was full of action.
What an emotional and heartbreaking episode. Bisco comes out as a true hero, making the ultimate sacrifice to protect others. The ending was completely unexpected.
This is a must-watch episode. We finally get some answers. The action scenes got so much better and Kurokawa being such a strong villain really elevates the whole thing.
Pawoo finally meets Bisco and Milo. The action scenes lack depth. Having a fight every episode is getting predictable.
Loving the adventure of Milo and Bisco, the plot keeps getting more intriguing, but having a fight at the end of every episode is starting to feel predictable
Very interesting episode! As Milo and Bisco travel further, they meet new people and fight new monsters. More things get revealed and the action scenes were amazing!
