Ryoujoku Guerrilla Kari 3
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Not once across an entire war does the spaceship Victoire fall in battle, its crew of young women carrying their victories forward to keep morale alive when nothing else could. Then the war ends — and someone sells them out. The ship's secrets, and the women themselves, get handed over to the enemy. What follows is the kind of story where the people who fought hardest end up with the least protection. This is a 2-episode OVA from 2008, adapted from a visual novel and animated by Suzuki Mirano. The sci-fi framing is genuinely interesting — space warfare, a legendary vessel, characters like Elen Gregor and Giselle Belteie who actually have weight to them before everything falls apart. The character designs from Ringo Kuroishi give the whole thing a distinct look that sets it apart from the usual hentai aesthetic. The betrayal setup has more dramatic tension than you might expect going in. If you have watched Kangoku Senkan and appreciated how it builds atmosphere around its central premise, this scratches a similar itch with a military sci-fi wrapper instead. Fans of Shin Ringetsu who like their stories to have some actual narrative backbone rather than just jumping straight into content will find the Victoire setup worth their time. It is not trying to be more than what it is, but within that space, the story framing does real work.
