Ruri Dragon PV
Oshimeter
Synopsis
By all appearances, Ruri Aoki is a perfectly normal high school girl — until she wakes up one morning with dragon horns growing out of her head. Her mom, completely unfazed, casually drops that Ruri's dad is a dragon. Cool. So now Ruri has to go to school looking like she's cosplaying her own mythological heritage, and things only get weirder from there — turns out she can breathe fire, which is not exactly a convenient thing to discover in a classroom. The whole premise sounds like it could go full action-fantasy, but Ruri Dragon stays firmly planted in slice-of-life territory. It's more about Ruri figuring out how to sneeze without torching her desk than fighting evil. The comedy comes from how mundane everything stays despite the absurdity — her classmates are curious but surprisingly chill, her mom treats the whole dragon thing like it's just mildly inconvenient genetics. This PV is a short promotional piece tied to the manga's third volume release, done in collaboration with ZUTOMAYO and coalowl, so think of it as a taste of the vibe rather than a full adaptation. If you liked the cozy supernatural energy of Flying Witch or the dragon-meets-daily-life charm of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, this hits a similar frequency. It's low-stakes, warm, and genuinely funny in a quiet way — the kind of thing where the humor sneaks up on you through deadpan delivery and absurd normalcy.
