This anime is a classic, and I've been wanting to watch it for a while. We start by meeting two siblings, both difficult to understand (at first). One is a human doormat, and the other is an obnoxious brat, the archetypal antisocial nerd. Jun gets a doll that suddenly comes to life, and that's how our story begins. The doll, Shinku, is very elegant, and we barely get to know her before we see her in action. The story gets straight to the point in explaining the dynamics of the powers and the connections between the doll and the medium, and it does a good job of giving subtle hints about Jun's character development. The animation, especially in the battles, looks excellent; the characters' faces sometimes get a little distorted, but it's not a big deal.
