So apparently you do need to watch the previous iterations of Rozen Maiden in order to not get a whiplash for this first episode. Which I didn't know. And I had to look up just so I don't unfairly give a negative rating right off the bat because I was slapped with 50 plot lines at once. It does convey well the point of the conflict between the dolls and some key scenes, and I'm not quite sure what I'm in for in the next episode but I'm more than happy to keep watching.
