Roshutsu-kei Mahou Joshi Daisei Christhea

Synopsis
At 19 years old, university student Touka Minamori is navigating Tokyo life — attractive, solitary, just trying to get through the day — until her childhood friend Kokoha shows up out of nowhere and drops a bombshell: she's a magical girl named Tearheart, and she needs Touka's help. The catch? The energy system powering their magical girl abilities runs on embarrassment. Specifically, the kind that comes from very public exposure. Touka reluctantly transforms into Christhea and finds herself navigating a city full of mysterious creatures called Libido while dealing with the deeply uncomfortable nature of her new role. The series leans hard into the psychological tension of that embarrassment — it's not just a gimmick, it's the whole engine of the story. There's a real dynamic between Touka's reserved personality and what the job keeps asking of her, which gives it more texture than you might expect from a 2-episode OVA. If you've watched Mahou Shoujo Ai or Mahou Shoujo Elena and appreciated how they remix the magical girl format into something aimed at adult audiences, this sits comfortably in that same space. Fans of Mahou Shoujo Isuka will also find familiar territory here. It's a short watch, sourced from a game by studio Majin, so don't go in expecting a sprawling narrative — but for what it is, it commits to its concept with a surprisingly specific focus on character psychology wrapped around its more explicit elements.
