Reunion
Oshimeter
Synopsis
For the summer, Yuji makes his way to his uncle's place expecting a quiet stretch of chores and countryside downtime. Then Saki shows up — a girl who keeps visiting the house — and suddenly the summer gets a lot more interesting. They fall for each other, start dating, and then she just... vanishes. No explanation, no goodbye, nothing. That particular sting of a summer romance that cuts off without closure is the emotional engine driving this one. On his last day before heading home, Yuji spots a girl being chased by a group of men and reluctantly steps in to help. That decision pulls him into something he wasn't expecting at all. The two-episode OVA from PoRO keeps things grounded in a rural setting that actually suits the nostalgic, bittersweet mood — it does not feel like a city story, and that works in its favor. The character designs are expressive enough that emotional beats land without heavy dialogue, and the soundtrack leans into that quiet countryside atmosphere. If you've seen Milk Money or Another Lady Innocent and appreciated how those handled romantic buildup alongside more adult content, Reunion sits in similar territory. It is adapted from a visual novel, so there is a genuine story here with some mystery threading through it, not just setup-and-payoff. The pacing is deliberate rather than rushed, which gives the characters room to feel like actual people before things escalate.
