Rescue Me!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
With his parents away on a long business trip, Masayuki Mizutani has the house to himself and is looking forward to some peace and quiet. Then he opens his front door to find a girl from school standing there in an apron. Barely an apron. Apparently his parents arranged for Sayaka Shimizu, a classmate and family friend, to move in and look after him while they're away. Sayaka takes this job extremely seriously, in ways nobody asked for and Masayuki definitely did not prepare for. What follows is a single-episode OVA that leans fully into its ecchi harem premise without pretending to be anything else — awkward situations, flustered reactions, and a comedic tone that keeps things light rather than mean-spirited. The animation from Hoods Entertainment is expressive in exactly the ways this genre needs, making the embarrassing moments land with decent comedic timing. At one episode, it does not overstay its welcome or try to build some elaborate emotional arc. It just delivers its premise and gets out. If you enjoy shows like To Love-Ru or Heaven's Lost Property and want something you can watch in under 30 minutes without committing to a full series, this scratches that itch pretty efficiently. It is what it is — a short, breezy, fanservice-forward comedy for seinen audiences who already know what they are signing up for.
