kllerychard★★★☆☆EP 2Reginetta-san no Bouken
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Don't let the polished exterior fool you. Reginetta, a female robot who considers herself both beautiful and highly intelligent, buys an island for 100,000 yen, convinced she got an incredible deal. Spoiler: the island is crawling with monster girls who have zero interest in handing over their home without a fight, or something more intimate. To claim control, Reginetta has to face each inhabitant on her own terms, whether that means a proper confrontation or something considerably more personal. The setup is genuinely fun in a chaotic sort of way: a robot with a massive ego stumbling into a fantasy island situation she absolutely did not prepare for. The monster girl cast keeps things visually diverse, and the adventure framing gives it a little more structure than you might expect from a two-episode OVA in this genre. It leans into the absurdity of the premise rather than ignoring it, which helps. If you've watched something like Shukufuku no Campanella and wanted it to go somewhere more explicit, or you're familiar with the kind of fantasy-adjacent tone in titles like Boku ni Harem Sefure ga Dekita Riyuu, this sits comfortably in that space. It's short, it's colorful, and it doesn't take itself seriously at all. Adapted from a game by studio Majin and released in 2024, it's a quick watch for anyone already into the genre who wants a fantasy setting with some actual character quirks attached.

toshiro_tempest_105★★★☆☆EP 1That transition from the dialogue to the action was fast and it kept the energy going without wasting any time on boring setup
grusha★★★★☆EP 1I have played the original game so many times and seeing Reginetta finally animated is a dream come true for me, because the coloring is vibrant and matches the source material perfectly, and that first encounter in the woods was just as intense as I remember from the demo and I was worried they would mess up the designs but they look great
zashiki_zenin_96★★★☆☆EP 1The animation is surprisingly smooth for a doujin adaptation and it does not feel cheap like some other low budget releases
sakurabloom★★★☆☆EP 1The way she reacted during that first scene in the forest was actually pretty close to the game and the voice acting fits her perfectly
rukia_reaper★★★★☆EP 1I really liked seeing the game sprites come to life because the art style looks exactly like the original doujin and it made the whole intro feel right
hawks_eye_387★★★☆☆EP 1the art is basically a one to one match for the game and that is all you can really ask for when it comes to an adaptation like this one
byakuya_of_the_dreams_253★★★☆☆EP 1some of the shots in that cave looked good and it builds up the tension before the monsters show up and start doing their thing to poor reginetta
toto_277★★★★☆EP 1you really get the feeling of the original doujin game here and the way she interacts with the world feels like watching a playthrough without the annoying menu screens in the way
sanemi_storm_133★★★★☆EP 1the animation quality starts off strong and you can tell they put effort into the background art during those first few minutes of exploration before it gets to the good stuff
kenpachi_berserker★★★☆☆EP 1the colors are really bright for a show like this and it makes the whole setting feel a lot more like a fantasy quest than just a series of random scenes
hylian_286★★★★☆EP 1The detail on the armor looked great to me, and the transition into the actual spice was handled better than most of these shorts without feeling rushed or anything
