"Red Shade" is a unique animated work by Keichi Tanaami, born from paintings intended to be animated. The film is composed of 80 individual scenes, each with its own distinct movement and complete in itself. This allows for a highly flexible viewing experience; the scenes can be arranged in any order, from a linear progression to a completely random sequence. Viewers can begin with scene 80 and end with scene one, or create their own custom narrative by rearranging the scenes as they wish. The essence of the work remains unchanged regardless of the order, but the arrangement can create different impressions, such as simulating a refreshing breeze. The film's strength lies in its ability to be reinterpreted with each viewing.
