Synopsis
Subaru Natsuki finally gets to take a breather, but he does not waste any time as he prepares for a date with his beloved Emilia. He scouts the nearby village for the right dating spot, and with the help of the village children, he finds a wonderful location. With that, he is well prepared for his date! Unfortunately for Subaru, cold weather suddenly sweeps across Roswaal's mansion on his important day, leaving him with no choice but to postpone the date. Overnight, it becomes even colder and unbearable. Subaru must get to the bottom of this because, at this rate, his date will be the least of his worries.

This OVA is a welcome breather from the brutality of the main series. Light, cozy, and fun, it lets the cast simply exist and enjoy themselves... for once. A small but charming OVA.
I loved the interaction between Subaru and Emilia, and the relationship Ram and Rem had during the festival. It was so lovely.
Memory Snow gives Re:ZERO a rare peaceful heartbeat. The snow festival, Emilia and Subaru’s gentle chemistry, cozy winter visuals, and relaxed comedy make the movie feel comforting while still carrying the emotional weight hidden beneath the series’ world. Definitely, a must-watch OVA!
This OVA can be watched without watching season 1. The comedy gold is there, Subaru being ridiculous as always. The story doesn't have any big events, unlike the series, but it's satisfying to watch. The pacing is balanced, but there are some animation drops.
Honestly, this OVA is the perfect cozy palate cleanser after all the brutal trauma of the main series. Seeing Subaru organize a full-blown snow festival just to get some wholesome quality time with Emilia is peak comfort. It’s total filler, but the character interactions are pure gold, and the fluff is lowkey exactly what we needed.
