Pretty decent first episode. The animation is good for a 2006 anime; the art style isn't too bad either. The pacing is a bit erratic; it tends to go from zero to a hundred and back to a zero pretty often. The character designs are a bit plain, but the plot doesn't seem to be too bad, the way some of the characters seem to be quite over-exaggerated already. Rei's personality seems to be a bit all over the place at the moment, so I'm hoping that settles down over the episodes.
