Queen and Slave

Synopsis
At work, Yumi Terada is a kind, calm, and professional nurse — and a completely different person behind closed doors. Growing up watching her father's infidelities drove her to resent men deeply, and that resentment shaped who she became outside the hospital walls. Then there's Hiroyuki, a former patient who fell for the gentle nurse he remembered and tracked her down hoping to pursue something real. He finds her, alright. Just not the version he was expecting. The central tension here is less about shock value and more about two people with completely mismatched expectations of each other — one person carrying years of psychological baggage, the other about to have his entire perception of someone shattered. The duality angle is genuinely the most interesting part: Yumi isn't a villain, and Hiroyuki isn't naive exactly — the story just puts two honest but incompatible people in a collision course. As a single-episode OVA adapted from manga, it doesn't overstay its welcome. If the psychological push-pull of something like Doreiku intrigues you, or you've watched Do-M Joshi to Gakkari Joou-sama and wanted something with a slightly more grounded emotional underpinning, this covers similar territory. It's a short watch that leans harder on character psychology than most titles in its genre bother to.
