PURE PURE PERO PERO PRINCESS HAS NO VOTE THIS WEEK
Synopsis
At 42 years old, Toshio Kaname just got laid off after twenty years at the same company. No prospects, no direction, just wandering the streets feeling sorry for himself. Then a mysterious woman named Iris shows up and asks him to help save her kingdom. Normally that kind of thing sounds like a scam, but when you've got nothing left to lose, why not follow the beautiful stranger to a magical realm? Toshio gets transported to the Kingdom of Perahim, where a prophecy about the next ruler somehow involves him recovering two sacred relics. The setup is classic isekai, but the middle-aged protagonist angle gives it a different flavor: this isn't some overpowered teenager, it's a guy dealing with a midlife crisis who stumbles into a fantasy quest alongside Princess Iris. The OVA is based on a visual novel and produced by Ryuu M's, and it leans into its hentai genre without pretending otherwise, so know what you're getting into. The world-building around Perahim is more fleshed out than you'd expect, and the dynamic between a jaded salaryman and fantasy royalty has genuine charm to it. If you liked the isekai fish-out-of-water energy from something like Petite Princess Yucie's fantasy setting or the tonal whiplash of Magical Witch Punie-chan, this hits a similar vein but with decidedly more adult content. Worth a look if the premise clicks for you.

It starts out like a standard comedy with Iris begging for lessons, but the twist about her being a princess from another world adds some stakes. Toshio being a middle aged dude with a specific set of skills makes for a unique dynamic compared to the usual teenage leads, and seeing Queen Cattleya show up to stop the nonsense was a great hook.
the art style is exactly what you expect from a dwarfsoft adaptation and the character designs for the girls are super detailed
i thought the premise was just weird but iris wanting to learn how to please men for her own world really pulled me in
seeing a forty two year old guy as the lead is actually a nice change and his expertise from those brothels makes the teaching scenes pretty funny
iris calling herself a princess caught me off guard because she looked like a normal girl at first and toshio just going along with the sex education thing is hilarious
Iris begging for lessons while having zero clue what is going on made for a very awkward start
it feels different having a middle aged guy as the lead, especially since iris treats him like some kind of wise professor
Queen cattleya showing up at the end was a huge shock for me and i wonder if she is going to punish toshio
animation quality is surprisingly high for an adaptation, and iris trying to understand her own feelings while toshio explains things was pretty sweet
Watching iris fall for a guy like toshio when she is supposed to be royalty is definitely a choice by the writers
I spent most of the time wondering when the fantasy elements would kick in but starting with Toshio in the real world worked surprisingly well for his character and it was so funny when Iris begged him for lessons because her reactions are so innocent despite what they are actually doing together in that apartment during the final scene
I think it is hilarious that Toshio is just some middle aged guy who gets a princess asking him for sex lessons right out of the gate
toshio is really living every single mans dream and the way he just accepted the job of teaching her without hesitating made me laugh
Dwarfsoft art style translates into animation really well and cattleya appearing at the end caught me off guard
iris is literally a princess from another world but she has no idea how any of this works and watching her try to learn from him was actually hilarious
Cattleya showing up made things ten times better and it was hilarious when Toshio started teaching both of them at the same time
The contrast between the royal outfit of the princess and the messy apartment of this 42 year old man is still the funniest thing about the whole show
Watching the Queen lose her mind because Iris has fallen so far for a regular human is the best part of the episode, and the ending definitely leaves you wanting more
That entrance from Cattleya changed the whole energy, because it added a lot of tension while Toshio was busy teaching Iris all those things. I was actually surprised by the production quality since these are usually pretty stiff, but the way they animated the Queen and her frustration at the whole situation felt very genuine and grounded for the genre
The facial expressions for Iris this time around were so well done and they really captured her getting into the sex education stuff
