Synopsis
After getting burned one too many times, Kei Ogata has decided relationships aren't worth the pain. He keeps to himself at school, but online — under a completely different name — he's found something real with a girl called Eve. They chat, they email, they slowly open up to each other in ways neither could manage face-to-face. Then Kei starts noticing things about his quiet classmate Midori, and the uncomfortable question takes hold: what if Eve isn't just some stranger on the internet? This 2-episode OVA from 2001 leans hard into that early internet era — dial-up chat rooms, email aliases, the strange intimacy of talking to someone you've never seen. It's genuinely melancholic stuff, built around a protagonist with real psychological weight rather than the usual genre setup. The adult content is there, but the tone is closer to something like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien than a typical hentai OVA — it's carrying actual emotional baggage. If you grew up around that turn-of-the-millennium internet culture, there's a specific nostalgia to how it captures online anonymity as both a shelter and a trap. Fans of Nozoki Ana or Dousei who don't mind slower, more character-driven pacing will probably find something worth sitting with here. Don't go in expecting action or comedy. This is quiet, heavy, and a little sad — the kind of story where the drama comes from someone trying not to let their past ruin something good.
