📖 SYNOPSIS
Meet Kotaro Kawaii, a middle school kid whose best friend is a shape-shifting slime girl named Puniru. If that sounds weird, it is — but in the best way. This second season picks up with Puniru training to become even cuter (yes, that's a real plotline), and then she just vanishes, leaving Kotaro to deal with school life and his own confused feelings without her around. The show uses that setup to sneak in surprisingly genuine moments about friendship and identity between all the absurd gag humor. New characters show up too, including Jure, an artificial slime with a massive ego, which adds a fun dynamic to the cast. The whole thing runs 12 episodes, so it never overstays its welcome. If you liked the cozy monster vibes of By the Grace of the Gods or the silly slime energy of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime but wanted something more grounded in everyday school comedy, this hits a nice sweet spot. It's got that same ensemble chaos energy as Isekai Quartet, where the humor comes from characters just bouncing off each other in low-stakes situations. TOHO animation STUDIO keeps the visuals clean and expressive, which matters a lot for a comedy that leans this hard on physical gags and Puniru's shapeshifting. It's a light, easygoing watch — the kind of thing you throw on when you want something fun without needing to track a complicated plot.
