Psychic Princess Season 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Cursed with supernatural abilities that everyone treats like exactly that, Qian Yunxi — the prime minister's eldest daughter — has been labeled unlucky since childhood, and gets shipped off to marry Prince Ye Youming at the Ye Palace — a guy she's convinced is scheming against her. The thing is, he's actually trying to be nice. He just happens to be terrible at showing it, and she's too stubborn to buy what he's selling. Their cohabitation is basically a slow-motion collision of two people who can't stop bickering long enough to realize they might actually like each other. This second season of Psychic Princess picks up their messy dynamic as a 24-episode ONA, and one of the first things you'll notice is the shift from 2D to 3D animation — it gives the whole show a different visual texture that takes a bit to settle into but works surprisingly well with the historical setting. The comedy lands when it needs to, but there's genuine emotional weight underneath the banter, especially as Yunxi's powers start playing into the larger court drama around them. If you liked the slow-burn tension of My Happy Marriage or the political undercurrents in Nirvana in Fire, this scratches a similar itch but with a lighter, more comedic touch. It's a historical romance where the leads are their own worst enemies, and honestly that's half the fun.
