Princess Connect! Re:Dive

I honestly expected a lot from this anime, especially since I loved the 1st episode. I loved the silly gags and chaotic yet comedic scenes here and there, but in terms of story and plot, there's still a lot missing, especially from Yuuki.

It's kind of amazing at this point in the season how useless Yuuki is. You'd think by this time he's had at least some memories recovered, but no.

Finally, some progression in the story. Plus, that sound effect from Sacred Punish from Shizuru was awesome!

Did not expect a comeback from Miss Fortune teller; if anything, I expected the destroyer to be the one to make a comeback. Well, this episode has been a fun one, with crumbs of backstory here and there.

A fun and refreshing beach episode, it is by far not generic, just a bit bland. It is funny, though, that most of them do not know how to swim, especially Karyl.

Felt like a filler episode; however, it is still relaxing. Pecorine, being the ray of sunshine in this episode, makes it still okay to watch. Still anticipating more world-building, story, and development from Yuuki.

The combats in this episode are top-tier. However, I can't help but feel that Pecorine is being more and more of a main character than Yuuki in every fight scene. Still, I guess he is a support type so it can't be helped.

Staying for the comedic nonsense from Karyll and Pecorine, tho i hope that we get more information about Yuuki and Kokkoro.

Every character introduced in every episode has a comedic impact on the episode and makes you look forward to what the next episode has. Yuuki and Karyl are getting the short end of the stick in this episode, though.

The episode is just lively, calm, and comedic all at the same time. Karyl, being the mother to this group, is so unexpected.

There's a better progression on the story on this one, plus a much better comedy as well! Seeing Karyl always being triggered by Pecorine is hilarious.

This one has more combat and story progression than the last episode. Though it feels generic for now, I will have to watch more. I have to say tho, Pecorine being Pecorine will likely make this show a lot more lively.

And that's the end of the show. It was decently fun to watch with fun and quirky characters and silly gags. In terms of the plot, the show did manage to redeem itself in the final episode but I think it felt a little underwhelming, with a lot of questions left on the table. Don't get me wrong, a lot was still covered and it made for a flashy end. But without a solid hint of continuation, it feels like it was all for nothing.

I have mixed feelings about this episode. For starters, loved the crepe segment at the beginning. Definitely lightening up the characters for what's to come. Pecorine does have a history after all and this episode cemented that fact very clearly, and she put on a great fight to boot. But on the other hand, Yuuki joins in and is still as useless as ever. If there is only one more episode remaining, I hope that is the one in which he regains his memories and makes the story make sense.

Wow, this wasn't like the other episodes. Felt like a lot coming together at once. Felt more stable and less chaotic, even if the start was generally like that (as usual). Nice to see the story taking fruit (granted there aren't many episodes left so it's expected). Rino and Shizuru were great, in typical eccentric fashion and added to the action as well. I don't expect much from the story but I hope it's decent enough.

This was a great episode. Actually pretty funny, even tops the others so far. Wasn't expecting fortune teller girl to make a comeback for a spooky and sweet episode. This was full on ghostly cooking (or baking) with a light hint of vampires and a touch of mystery. In the last episode and this one, there were small drops of lore which felt random but are always a welcome. I also wasn't really sure what Pecorine's shopping segment was supposed to mean other than just hinting at her past.

I was expecting a generic beach episode but instead, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it action packed towards the end (foreshadowed), it was still mainly about food. It was a short rivalry, but it was still cute all throughout and chaotic as always. Definitely better and more rooted than the previous episode and doesn't feel much like a filler episode.

It wasn't the most exciting episode, but it was chill and wholesome + decently fun. Yuuki is still useless this far into the show and is the most boring of them all. I know his memory is still lost, but he's almost like a child - which was perfect for this episode's quest with the kids.

This is why the last episode wasn't that good, they were saving it all for this one. Once again, they went all out with the animation and fight scenes. And that's despite the plot/story being fairly small and simple. But it is slowly being built upon and this quest was the catalyst for it. This is the show at its best. There's not much to talk about the characters themselves because they were all great, including Karyl with her last minute save.

If there's a competition for how many quirky characters you can come up with it, this show would definitely be in contention. This episode contained both cooking (which was a great segment) and even a side plot with some darkness in it. It wasn't the most exciting episode, but if there's a second part to it then there's more to build on top of the teased dark character.
