Synopsis
When a P.E. teacher stumbles onto a document outlining the 'Dark Rhythmic Gymnastics Project', a hidden competition that has nothing to do with actual gymnastics scores, it sets the stage for this 4-episode OVA, and it wastes no time leaning into exactly what it is. Nikusuke teams up with Tomomi Shirakawa, the granddaughter of the school's board chairman, which means she has both the social clout and the ruthlessness to recruit participants however she sees fit. Their first target is Miku, a genuinely naive new student who gets pulled into this world through manipulation rather than choice. The power imbalance is deliberate; Tomomi knows exactly what she's doing, and the show doesn't pretend otherwise. It's dark, it's erotic, and the school's elite setting gives it a specific flavor of institutional corruption that makes the stakes feel real within its genre. The character designs are clean and the animation holds up well for a 2002 production.
