Poltergeist

A guitar swings like a bat in natori's hands, not to play it, but to fight with it. That one image pretty much tells you everything you need to know about what this music video is going for. Poltergeist is the animated music video for natori's 2026 single of the same name, and it runs short by design. The whole thing is built around a single emotional idea: staring down reality and deciding to swing back instead of folding. The animation comes from illustrator DEPPA, whose work gives the whole piece a kinetic, slightly chaotic energy that matches the song's momentum without ever feeling cluttered. It's the kind of thing you watch once and immediately want to rewatch during the actual song. The visuals and the music are paced together tightly enough that they feel like one thing, not a song with pictures slapped on top. If you already know natori from Friday Night and want to see what his work looks like when it gets a little more aggressive and confrontational, this is a natural next step. And if you like music videos where the animation actually does something, where it adds meaning rather than just decoration, this is worth the few minutes it asks for.
