The robots & cyborg in this universe are very much quite emotional compared to universe such as Aliens. Although I question the decision to show a whole backstory so directly without a narrator or relation to any main character attached. Its an abrupt transition from the main story to a side story. The side story itself tells a beautiful tale, the range of emotion sensitivity a robot has in this universe. In just 1 episode 2 robots have a very different way of portraying their story & death, one relies upon story narration with only few imagery of who it is and what it did. While North no.2 got a whole ass 20-30min of the ep all about his connection with his last owner.
