Pigeon Blood

Synopsis
With no memory of who he is, a man finds himself waking in a grand mansion — and discovers he's apparently the 'master' of the estate, which comes with some very unusual arrangements. The women living there treat him as their lord, and he has no frame of reference to question it, because he genuinely cannot remember anything. That amnesiac disorientation is actually what makes the setup more interesting than it sounds on paper. Then, before he can even begin piecing together his past, a girl intercepts him outside and flat-out asks to become his slave. No context, no explanation — just an offer. The whole thing has this isolated, atmospheric tension running through it, like the mansion itself is hiding something about who he was before the memory loss. It leans into questions of identity and power in ways that go a little deeper than you might expect from a 2-episode OVA. If you've watched something like Discipline: The Record of a Crusade or Bible Black and appreciated when these kinds of releases actually try to build a mood around the premise rather than just rushing through it, Pigeon Blood scratches a similar itch. It is based on a visual novel by Abogado Powers, so there is a story foundation underneath everything. Two episodes, dark atmosphere, and a mystery that does not fully resolve — treat it as a mood piece rather than a complete narrative and it works.
