π SYNOPSIS
In a near-future world where digital offenses are the new normal, Echika Hieda works as a cybercrime investigator. She's sharp, dedicated, and also kind of a mess sometimes. Her partner Harold Lucraft is an android who seems to enjoy pushing her buttons more than actually solving cases. Now shrink them both down into adorable chibi form and let them loose on petty cybercrimes β that's Petit Forma in a nutshell.
This 5-episode ONA is a spin-off from the Your Forma series, and it trades the original's heavier tone for something way more relaxed. Each short episode follows the Electronic Crimes Bureau crew through their daily routines, where the biggest threat might be Harold's smartass commentary rather than any actual criminal. The chibi art style from studio AQUA ARIS leans into the comedy hard, and the banter between Echika and Harold carries most of the charm. It's less about cracking cases and more about watching coworkers who are barely holding it together.
If you enjoyed the lighter side-story episodes of something like Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System, or the way Hinamatsuri turns capable people into comedic disasters, this hits a similar groove. Think of it like Detective Conan: Magic File but with androids and cyber nonsense instead of locked-room murders. It's short, low-stakes, and easy to burn through in one sitting when you just want something breezy with characters you can get attached to.
