episode 10 is a cooldown episode after the heights of episode 9 and it does its job well without being spectacular. the cultural festival is over, the tension with the student council gets some kind of resolution, and the show returns to its more episodic comfort zone of watching the Hero Club cause problems and Mizuki suffer for it. the thing episode 10 does best is give you a moment to just hang out with these characters now that you actually care about them. after nine episodes of building up who everyone is and what they mean to each other, an episode that's mostly just vibes and gags feels earned rather than lazy. there's a lightness to it that works. Takashima gets a quietly sweet moment in this episode that adds another small layer to his character without making a big deal of it. the show has gotten really good at this — dropping little genuine character beats into the middle of comedy scenes so they land without feeling manipulative. you almost don't notice them happening and then you realize you feel something and you're not sure when that started. the student council resolution is probably the weakest part of the episode. it wraps up a bit too neatly for a conflict that the show made into a recurring thread over several episodes. but honestly at this point the student council was never really the interesting part of the show anyway so getting them out of the way cleanly is probably the right call. comfortable and fun. exactly what episode 10 needed to be.
