The "Otherworld" is a vast and dangerous realm hidden from the knowledge of the common folk. It is also home to many creatures that threaten any human who dare visit it. To witness its desolate yet oddly absorbing environment, one must search for portals that could reside anywhere, from secret elevators to shrine entrances. After a fateful encounter with a horrendous Otherworld denizen, Sorawo Kamikoshi ponders whether to keep going or give up in life. Meanwhile, Toriko Nishina scours the Otherworld in hopes of finding her friend Satsuki, who she believes is lost somewhere within the realm. When the two cross paths, friendship blossoms. In order to acquire as much information about this obscure dimension, the two travel back and forth from the real world to the other. This was kind of a slow-paced, chill season ender. I'm not sure if I noticed anything that could be considered a cliffhanger or something that could be linked to a Season 2. But I hope there's a Season 2. I want to see an ending to this story because of all the mysteries and theories I've been having.
I added this to one of my favorite episodes. It was intense and strange at the same time. There’s so much happening in the Otherside that we’re not aware of yet. Kakandara is so creepy, even when smiling. I’m expecting some plot twists here. But I’m happy they remembered the US troops and tried to rescue them.
The episode was intense, even from the start. What is Akari’s involvement in all of this? That’s what I’m curious about. The animation of the dolls was so creepy, and the music added even more to the atmosphere.
Wow, I think this is one of my favorite episodes. The mystery is intriguing, and the way they find clues while everything points to the urban legend's story is thrilling. Sorawo and Akari carried this episode. The revelation at the end is also intriguing; it made me come up with theories about Sorawo and Satsuki.
This was a fun and cute episode. I never expected ninja cats to be like that, literally. The girls are getting the hang of the Otherside. Why do their guns almost never run out of bullets, though? What is this feeling, Sorawo? It's like you don't like sharing things, huh? Haha. The reveal at the end was shocking. 😱
Woah, this anime is even creepier than the horror anime I watched before. It has jump scares and scary creatures. The background sounds make it even creepier. They only animated white ghost-like figures with red eyes, but they were so scary.
My mind is going crazy because of this episode too. Like, what the heck is happening? There are still many unsolved mysteries that I'm guessing won't be answered anytime soon, but I'm still hoping. I still got goosebumps during the scary train scene. The phone scene was amazing, so creepy as hell.
Just trying to survive in the Otherside gives me the creeps, which is why I understand Sorawo, especially when you don't know when or where you entered the Otherside. But what the heck? The creatures are getting creepier with every episode. And what do you mean they'll meet those kinds of humans inside??? Damn, I was surprised.
What is with all this blushing whenever she's close? Oh, bro, you're dead. Haha. Aside from the blushing, this episode has so much to offer. Kazakura being so funny and all. Intense scenes at the end, the animation and soundtrack will add sweat while you're watching.
I'm trying to remember which movie or series I watched that had the same setting as this one. I remembered it during this episode because of some of the entrances and exits back to the real world. This has a similar setting to Stranger Things ! This episode was a bit slow-paced, but it became intense at the end.
Everything in this episode was a surprise. But the animation was top-notch! Plus, the sound effects when something intense was happening were so good. The man lying in the Otherside was so creepy. The story was fast-paced, but since there wasn't much context yet, it could leave you confused at some points.
There are so many random things happening. I believe a lot can happen in the Otherside. It was both intense and creepy at the same time, especially the creatures' faces that they encountered there. If you want to add a little mystery to your life, then you should give this a try.
Alright, this is an emotional and satisfying finale for this anime. The bond is lovely and the shootout against the massive entity is amazing! It leave us with some questions but a solid ending.
This is building up again with the military unit! The transition from survival horror to militaristic siege against entities ended up really well surprisingly. The visuals in this episode and the soundtrack, are amazing.
The plot twist with the dinner moment is a fun Twilight Zone premise. However, the explanation of the escape feels rushy to be honest, the writing is getting messy again.
The threat following Akari is fantastic, give us a lot of tension. This concept of spatial curse turning teeth into monkeys is really bizarre and with that horror vibe. The psychological stake feels again.
The introduction of this characters gives a fresh dynamic to the lore and the group. The context in this episode gives a little bit of creepy vibes. Also, we have more emotional moments here.
After the horror of last episode, the sudden bikini resort thing feels super out of context. The comedy and drunk Kozakura are amusing but the writing feels a little bit lightweight and messy.
This is building up again! The concept of Meat Train is super grotesque and visually outstanding, using body horror elements that freaks you out. The pacing is relentless as they fight but this is the dark tone we needed,
The continuation of this mystery is not my cup of tea to be honest. However, Toriko's interaction with space is cool and is giving us some growing emotional dependency.
