Orion
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Genji and Hanzo Shimada were brothers before everything fell apart. Orion is a standalone animated music video running about four minutes, but it carries the weight of a full character story: two siblings separated by old wounds, and Kiriko caught between them as the person who still remembers who they used to be to each other. The video moves through stylized flashes of shared memory and present-day cyber-ninja action, using the YOASOBI original song as the actual storytelling engine rather than background noise. The music is doing the emotional heavy lifting here, and it works. A-1 Pictures brings clean, expressive animation to the Overwatch setting, and the result feels less like a game trailer and more like a short film that happens to feature recognizable characters. The tone is wistful and a little raw, the kind of thing where the action sequences are genuinely cool but the quiet moments between them hit harder. If you liked the emotional gut-punch of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners or the stylized character drama in Ninja Kamui, this scratches a similar itch in a much smaller package. It is not a full series, so do not go in expecting an arc. Think of it more like a really good music video that also happens to make you care about fictional siblings processing grief and distance. Four minutes, genuinely worth your time.
