Ore wa Kanojo wo Shinjiteru!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Two childhood friends who finally admitted they have feelings for each other, Kensuke and Ayumu almost immediately get separated. Kensuke gets reassigned to a distant branch at his PC software sales job, which means moving out of his apartment and away from Ayumu for an indefinite stretch of time. Bad timing, to put it lightly. The story picks up in that uncomfortable space where a new relationship meets a long-distance test before it's even had a chance to settle. Kensuke starts second-guessing things from afar, and Ayumu is dealing with unwanted attention from someone on her club team, which doesn't help anyone's peace of mind. The whole thing leans into that specific kind of anxiety — trusting someone you care about when you can't see them, can't read the situation, and your imagination starts filling in the gaps. It's a one-episode OVA from 2011 by Studio Silver, based on a visual novel, so the runtime is tight and the focus stays on the emotional tension between two people trying to hold something fragile together across distance. If you've watched something like School Days and found yourself drawn more to the relationship psychology than anything else, this sits in similar territory. It's not a slow burn exactly — more like a concentrated snapshot of doubt and connection under pressure.
