Synopsis
Kyle is a magic swordsman who finally kills the Demon King — and then promptly dies. Or at least, he should. Instead, a mysterious crimson crystal yeets him four years into the past, right back to his hometown that he watched get destroyed the first time around. His friends are alive, his world hasn't gone to hell yet, and he's sitting on four years of future knowledge about every disaster heading their way. So now he's got one shot to rewrite fate and keep everyone breathing this time. The catch is that Kyle isn't brooding about it the way you'd expect. This 5-episode ONA, adapted from a light novel by Studio AQUA ARIS, leans into its comedy surprisingly hard. His party includes Liese, a monk who fights with her fists, Urza, an elf-girl summoner, and Sildonia, who is literally his magic weapon walking around in human form. The dynamic between them keeps things light even when the stakes are genuinely serious. If you liked the time-loop tension of Re:Zero or the "go back and save everyone" premise of Erased, this scratches a similar itch but with a more comedic tone. Think Steins;Gate's desperation to fix the timeline, except the protagonist's companions are giving him a hard time every step of the way. It's short enough to knock out in one sitting, and the fantasy-comedy balance makes it an easy watch without demanding a huge emotional investment upfront.
