Only My Oppai Soul
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Finding a way to talk to Kaori, a girl from the volleyball club he's smitten with, is something Naoto has no real answer for. His classmate Nao, who happens to be on the same team, offers to play matchmaker — but she's not doing it out of the goodness of her heart. The price? Three desserts. Seems fair, until Kaori shuts the whole thing down cold, and suddenly this simple arrangement gets a lot more complicated. That's the setup for the first and longest of the four OVA episodes, and it does a decent job building out the characters before things inevitably go where you'd expect a hentai to go. The remaining three episodes are standalone stories with their own casts, so if one isn't clicking, something different is right around the corner. Studio 9 Maiami keeps the animation fluid, and the character designs are expressive in the way fans of the genre tend to appreciate. The harem framing gives each episode a light, almost comedic romantic energy before shifting gears. If you've watched something like Baku Ane: Otouto Shibocchau zo! or Aneki no Kounai Kaikinbi and wanted a similar vibe with a volleyball club backdrop and a four-episode runtime you can finish in one sitting, this is a reasonable pick. It's not trying to be anything other than what it is, and the episodic structure keeps it from feeling repetitive.
