Oni Chichi 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
With his wife barely a week in the ground, Kenichi Makino begins looking at his four daughters — Natsume, Akira, Fuyu, and Haruka — in ways no father should. That's the setup, and this 2-episode OVA from PoRO doesn't soften it or dress it up as anything other than what it is. Each of the four sisters has a distinct personality: Natsume is feisty, Akira carries a maternal quality, Fuyu is quiet and reserved, and Haruka comes across as the innocent one. The story moves through the household one relationship at a time, and the tension between grief, moral collapse, and desire is what drives things forward. It's dark subject matter handled without a safety net — no redemption arc, no moralizing, just a household in slow freefall. The character designs are detailed and the animation holds up well for a 2010 production. If you've watched something like Resort Boin or Aneki... My Sweet Elder Sister The Animation and wanted something with a heavier psychological undercurrent, this sits in similar territory but leans harder into the uncomfortable dynamics. It's adapted from a visual novel, so there's more plot scaffolding than you might expect from a short OVA run. Go in knowing exactly what it is — this isn't trying to be anything else — and it delivers on its own terms.
