Episode 1015 is pure cinema. The animation peaked here, the colours were beautiful, the direction was insane, and that entrance... Luffy casually walking past Kaido and Big Mom, literally two Emperors of the Sea, like they weren't even there. The way he walks straight towards Kin'emon in that coat was so damn badass, while somehow still feeling completely like Luffy. And then he says, “I’m Monkey D. Luffy. I’m the man who will surpass you and become the Pirate King.” We’ve heard Luffy say that countless times throughout the story, but this time it hit completely differently. **That shit means something to me.** It gave me actual goosebumps. Oden’s narration about the new age of pirates made the whole moment even more powerful, and then the Yamato part on top of that was just perfect. Everything this episode does feels like One Piece at its absolute peak. I genuinely had tears in my eyes while writing this because that scene hit me all over again. Damn, Oda. You really are the GOAT.
