Okusama wa Michael

Synopsis
When a crashed alien lands in her backyard, a newlywed woman discovers it can shapeshift into any piece of clothing — one that can shapeshift into any piece of clothing. That's the setup for Okusama wa Michael, a 2-episode adult OVA from 2012 that leans hard into its absurd sci-fi premise as an excuse to get weird with its story. Mika Amano is just trying to settle into married life with her husband Shinichi, a doctor who's meanwhile running his own experiments with an unusual new drug — and then suddenly there's Furuu, a shape-shifting extraterrestrial who has decided her wardrobe is a perfectly acceptable place to live. The show uses that alien gimmick as its central engine, mixing domestic comedy with adult content in a way that's more playful than you might expect from the genre. It's not deep, but the science fiction angle gives it a slightly different flavor compared to something like Okusama ga Seito Kaichō or Okusama wa Joshikousei, which both play with the whole 'married life is complicated' setup without the alien twist. If those series appealed to you and you wanted something with a stranger hook baked into the premise, this scratches that itch. Two episodes means it's a quick watch that doesn't overstay its welcome, and the husband-and-wife dynamic at least gives it some character grounding beneath the silliness.
