Oh!!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Imagine blazing stage lights, thousands of fans roaring, an idol basking in their adoration, and then — cut to her sitting alone in a quiet room, staring at nothing. That's the emotional range this music video covers in just a few minutes. Oh!! is a standalone anime music video set to Haruno's track of the same name, and it tells the story of a female idol caught between who she is on stage and who she is when nobody's watching. There's no dialogue at all. Everything — the loneliness, the adrenaline, the quiet exhaustion — comes through the animation and the music working in lockstep. Scenes shift between neon-lit concert spectacles and muted, empty cityscapes, and the transitions between them are genuinely striking. It's the kind of thing where you finish it and immediately hit replay because you caught something new in the background. If you liked Shelter by Porter Robinson and A-1 Pictures, this hits a very similar emotional frequency — a short, self-contained piece where visuals and music do all the heavy lifting. And if Oshi no Ko got you thinking about the darker side of idol culture, this explores that same duality but through pure atmosphere instead of plot. It's a quick watch, obviously, being a single music video. But it lingers longer than you'd expect from something this short.
