After the growth of Chiaki as a boyfriend, we have Nodame's growth as a pianist. Their support for each other made them better, but unseen to them to the point that insecurities and doubt began to manifest, especially comically in Nodame. As always the classical piece is always done in a way that resonates with the emotion and struggle of the characters and it always hits right.
