This is the buildup for what seems to be an epic clash at the conclusion of this season. We are given the motivations of each participant in that decisive battle, including our main protagonist, which I think is already overdue, all things considered. The initial fight scenes already look promising; this would make a great payoff for viewers who followed the show since day one.
