yes, it is a slow episode but it's the kind of slow that makes you feel the weight. and this is the one where shinji finally breaks and runs. also misato's guilt is valid. the train station scene with the long silent stare, and that's eva at its best. it is uncomfortable, raw, and weirdly beautiful.
