asuka's time to shine! she's loud, cocky, and almost gets cooked inside a volcano. shinji saves her at the last second, and for once, she's actually grateful. the hot springs ending is peak awkward. fun action, some science talk, and a rare moment where asuka isn't insufferable. worth a watch.
