Synopsis
Yumiko's husband bails on their family beach vacation because of work — again, so she heads to the resort with her young son, trying to make the best of it, but the loneliness hits different when you're surrounded by couples and summer romance vibes. Then she meets two younger guys who are more than happy to keep her company. What starts as harmless socializing quickly pulls Yumiko into territory she didn't plan on, and the real hook here is the tension between what she knows she shouldn't do and what she's clearly starving for emotionally. It's not just about the explicit content — there's a genuine thread of guilt, desire, and neglect running through the whole thing that gives it more weight than you'd expect from the genre. Adapted from Kurosu Gatari's well-regarded doujinshi and animated by T-Rex, who pretty much have the hentai OVA format down to a science at this point. The beach setting works well, giving everything this sun-drenched, hazy summer atmosphere that contrasts with the nighttime scenes. If you've watched stuff like Oni Chichi or Ane wa Yanmama Junyuu-chuu and appreciated when these shows bother to give their characters actual emotional stakes, Natsuzuma is in that lane. Fans of Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo might also dig the multi-partner dynamic here. It leans into the complicated feelings rather than brushing past them, which honestly makes the whole thing more compelling.
