Nama Lo Re: Namakemono The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Like pretty much everyone on the planet, Mei Usami faces a universal problem: summer homework she hasn't touched, with the new semester breathing down her neck. Along with her friend Ayumi Aizawa, she's supposed to be grinding through assignments, but between gaming sessions and, well, other distractions, the books aren't exactly getting opened. This 2016 OVA from Studio 1st adapts Akazawa Red's one-shot manga Namakemono, and the title literally plays on the word for "lazy" — which tells you everything about the energy here. It's a single-episode hentai OVA that leans into a playful, comedic tone rather than taking itself too seriously. The setup is simple: two high school girls, a ticking clock, and zero discipline. The charm comes from the dynamic between Mei and Ayumi and how their procrastination spirals in ways that are both familiar and decidedly not safe for work. If you've watched Nama Lo Re: Furachimono The Animation and enjoyed Akazawa Red's style, this is cut from the same cloth. Fans of Ane Koi: Suki Kirai Daisuki or Boku no Yayoi-san will find a similar lighthearted vibe here — nothing heavy, nothing complicated, just a short and breezy watch built around character chemistry and the universal sin of putting things off until the last possible second.
